Sudbury House Hotel

My wife and I had the great pleasure of visiting this hotel for a three day break in July. I can honestly say its was the most relaxing and friendly hotel we have ever stayed at. The staff worked together as a team and nothing was too much trouble. Jane who manages the hotel has built a team that is willing to do all the tasks. At one movement Green was on reception and then serving in the bar. Even Jane is often working in the kitchen. Katie and Jamie who served in the restaurant were a delight too. Julie the fountain of all local knowledge was so welcoming at front of house. As you can see I cant say enough about so if you want to know more book it for yourself. We will be going back.

We booked a short break of 2 nights. The hotel is very spacious with a nice bar area. The staff were very attentive and welcoming. The room was very comfortable, clean and tidy. The town is a short walk away with some small high street shops. Even the natives at the local pub made us feel very welcome. The true test of any break, anywhere, is to ask yourself would you stay here again. The answer is most definitely yes.

Wow What a brilliant stay, me and my partner had a brilliant time. Service was spot on, food was amazing(only had the breakfast, with the Asian restaurant down the road being brilliant) walking distance to the local pub Staff were friendly room was comfortable. I recently stayed at the Sudbury House Hotel in Faringdon and was genuinely impressed by the entire experience. The property is beautifully maintained, with a charming blend of historic character and modern comfort. My room was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully furnished, offering everything needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were exceptional—professional, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their warm hospitality made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Breakfast was another highlight: delicious, well-presented, and served in a lovely setting. The hotel’s location is ideal for exploring the Oxfordshire countryside, yet peaceful enough to unwind completely. Whether for a weekend getaway or a business trip, Sudbury House Hotel is a fantastic choice. I would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Was here for my son's wedding, to me, everything went smoothly with no problems. The room was comfortable and clean, well presented and odourless. The food was tasty and enjoyable. Breakfast the following morning was awesome and, again, tasty food. Staff, to me, appeared diligent and efficient plus the had the knack of not being in your face but we're there when you needed them.

We recently had our wedding at Sudbury House Hotel and i can't express just how amazing it was. Zoe was our wedding co-coordinator and she was amazing from start to finish, always so helpful and willing to go that extra mile. All of the staff made us feel very welcome, nothing was a problem and we couldn't of been more grateful. The food was delicious and every one of my guests commented they could of all has second helpings!! The grounds and inside are perfect for photo opportunities, we have got some breathtaking photos. Thank you again Zoe and Team you made our special day a dream come true, it truly was perfect :):)

Great location. The staff were absolutely wonderful. Fab bar. The room was lovely and spacious but it felt a little tired in places (marks on wall, carpet for example) and very little shower pressure. Overall, I would stay again!

Start with the positive, the staff were welcoming and friendly, only too happy to help. Breakfast was freshly cooked but also continental breakfast was available, with tea, coffee and juice. The location is right in the centre of Thame, ideal for all the amenities. The hotel itself could do with a spruce up, just a bit neglected, it is an old build so expect a creaking floor or two. I had a nice stay. Thank you.
